Sign Language for Children

by brianca

Studies have shown that signing with your child at an early age may increase language and communication skills and may even raise IQ. Always saying and signing the word simultaneously helps encourage your child to learn new words is the way that is most comfortable for them. Most importantly, it provides another avenue of communication at a time when it can be hard to understand what your child needs or wants. The sooner your baby can tell you they need a fresh diaper or that they are tired or hungry the better life is for both of you. Signing can almost be like a game you play together so have fun, and nothing facilitates learning like having fun while your doing it.
